PANATHENAIC STADIUM - ATHENS - GREECE
The Panathenaic Stadium — the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble, and home to the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 — glows in golden afternoon light above the city of Athens. Shot from directly ahead by drone, the horseshoe of white marble tiers opens toward the camera as the Greek capital spreads into the haze beyond.
